Burnham-on-Crouch Essex UK
The Fairline Turbo 36 was a landmark boat not only for Fairline but the boating industry as a whole. Renowned for its great handling and performance whilst using shaft drives to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Merganser is a good example, well presented and ready to enjoy, featuring recent upgrades such as a bow thruster with dual controls and more. Unfortunately, although believed to be in good sound condition her engine cooling systems now require overhauling before use, hence her very competitive asking price.

Located under saloon, 2 x Volvo Penta TAMD60C 255hp 6-cylinder turbo diesel engines. Sea water cooled. Morse dual single lever controls with electric start. Full engine instrumentation. Twin shaft drives to bronze 3-bladed propellers. Twin steel 535 litre fuel tanks. Sidepower bowthruster (new 2015) with controls at upper and lower helm.
A recent professional inspection by the local Volvo Penta main agent has revealed that, as with many other vessels of this age, the cooling system should be overhauled with new circulation pumps fitted, sea water pumps reconditioned, hoses replaced where required and all coolers cleaned and refurbished. It has also been suggested by an independent engineer that it is unwise to run the engines before this work has been carried out.
